Holiday - single

Released June 11th

“Wakey wakey rise and shine its time to get up, swear to god you’ll never drink again”

Coventry upstarts The Ripps release “Holiday” through Catskills on June 11th. If its high energy power pop that floats your boat you’ve probably already heard this but if you haven’t smash your copper jar and get yourself to local record shop!

A chirpy tune with a comedy style “ting”, of drummer Rachel’s splash cymbal, and story of a drunken afternoon in Weatherspoons. This is a song that may ring tones of an early Supergrass or even Blur to some of us slightly older listeners but one things for sure, The Ripps sound is fast, furious but mostly fun, something all too often overlooked in music of late.

Here’s singer Patch on the tune “It’s our escapist anthem. It’s our hangover song, an anecdotal tale of debauchery. Going out on a school night with the knowledge that you’ve got work the next day and that moment of realisation halfway through the evening when it’s too late to turn back!"
