Star Fucking Hipsters – Until we’re dead

Label: Fat Wreck Chords

If you don’t already know SFH is a crust supergroup put together by none other than Stza of Leftover Crack/Choking Victim and other members from bands such as Slackers, World Inferno Friendship Society, Randalls and Degenerics.

After an introduction from the band with a techno baking track the album kicks off with title track Until We’re Dead, this album has some awesome duel vocals from Stza and female vocalist Nico de Gaillo which work really well.  There is a lot of influences on this records from the folk punk sound on Immigrants and Hypocrites and the more Distillers sound of Two cups of tea and not forgetting the usual LOC sound of Snitch to the Suture.

Personally I think SFH is the most accessible band Stza has been involved with, this has more melody than any of his previous bands but still keeps the left wing vocals & views (you just need to listen to 9-11 was an inside job to see this)

On the whole this is a good album and it’s almost like listening to your MP3 player on random as there is so many different sounds on this records.  This is a must for LOC fans and if LOC have always been too much for you maybe this will be more your cup of tea.
