There’s some pretty strong opinions knocking about when it comes to Ronson and Lily Allen so the both of them working together was always going to get people talking, for the right or wrong reasons, which ever the case may be. But one thing is for sure that these two are probably two of the most talked about acts of the moment and this time around it’s the Kaiser Chief’s “Oh My God” that gets the Ronson touch.
Ronson has made a familiar sound that’s tagged to his work and this mix is another well arranged funked up version of the hit single from the Kaiser Chiefs. A horn driven mix with lazy beats finished with a relaxed sounding Lily Allen makes this tune a stand out one off the album and one that makes the original sound weak in comparison. Covers usually fail to make the grade, but Ronson again has taken an average tune and in the words of the great Beatles classic “Hey Jude” taken, “a sad song and made it better”.
