One More Won’t Kill Us

Measured Records

Released February 5th

If like me you’ve noticed a growing trend in girls wearing studded belts, edgy haircuts and bags full of pin badges I’d say that the wise money would go on one those badges brandishing “The Hedrons” logo. Hailing from Glasgow this all girl quartet have already received rave reviews from the likes of the NME, Kerrang, the Sunday Times and Daily Telegraph. If its “spikey” sounding “indie punk” that keeps your hair in shape after a sweaty night in the barfly these are your girls.

If you liked the singles leading up to the release of the debut you’re going to love the album. Gutsy guitar riffs with a raw vocal gives “The Hedrons” a sound that will almost definitely see them on the up in the coming months. If its originality your looking for your looking in the wrong place, but if it’s a rhythm section that will get your head going and tunes you’ll be humming all the way home on the last bus you’ve just hit the jackpot.

“One More Wont Kill Us” gives us more than a hint as to what The Hedrons are all about and I must say this album is definitely delivered with intent to make people sit up and take note. In classic “pop” punk style the debut is only forty minutes long but if this is your thing it’s going to be more than enough. The Hedrons have already crowned themselves queens of the online gig, supported Alice in Chains and entered the indie chart top 5 after only being together since last year, I’m sure you’ll agree that’s a pretty impressive CV.

Good Luck to them I say!
