Opening for the Killers at the CIA 05/03/07
Opening for the Killer's
tonight is Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and the audience is treated to
something that does not happen all the times: an opening act that is
engaging and exciting and not just filling the time before the main act is
due on stage.
BRMC has a new album out
soon and this sell out tour with The Killers was the perfect occasion for
showcase their brand of bluesy, dirty kind of rock&roll. After having had a
great success with their first album they, they unfortunately disappeared
into darkness for a little while, but this new album promises to bring them
back into the limelight and tonight was proof that they still have what it
takes to be exciting and true stars.
They play the classic from
the first album and the crowd is treated to blistering renditions of
Spread your Love, Love Burns and Whatever happened to my Rock ‘n Roll,
but the new songs are the ones that bring the crowd out shimming their hips
and feeling the dirty appeal of the sexy, sensuous tunes. Spread your Love
indeed.
After BRMC leaves, the stage is set up for the
arrival of the Killers.
